City Secretary / Municipal Court Administrator -  Belinda Hohhertz

 

Belinda came to work for the City in January 2000 as Assistant City Secretary/Municipal Court Clerk and Utility Clerk. Belinda holds her Texas Municipal Court Clerks Level 1 certification. Belinda is married to Tim and has two beautiful girls.  She has been with the city through many changes and is proud to be a municipal employee of Tye.  She would like to thank all of the citizens and council for their support and friendship.   

 

 

 

Deputy Court Clerk/Assistant City Secretary - Kim Giddens

 

Kim was hired May 2006 as utility clerk and office assistant.  In August 2008 Kim was appointed as Deputy Court Clerk.  Kim strives to provide professional and courteous customer service to everyone and assistance to all city personel. 

 

The court clerk is responsible for providing assistance during each session of the Court, maintaining and preparing all of the Municipal dockets, recording the disposition of each case, receiving all court documents and defendant correspondence as well as, balancing and closing of accounts, and preparing requisitions for purchasing and refunding. The preceding encompasses the Municipal Court's goal of providing quality customer service. 

 

 

 

Director of Public Works / Animal Control Officer - Jerry Perkins

 

Jerry has been with the City since 2004 and has 23 years of service with Texas cities.  Jerry currently hold Certification for Class C Surface Water Treatment Operator; Class C Solid Waste Technician; Customer Service Inspector; Non-commercial Pest Applicator; Certified Backflow Assembly Tester; Certified Euthanasia Technician; Advanced ACO.  Jerry is married to Pam, together they have four children and two grandchildren. 

 

 

 

Assistant Director of Public Works - Dwain Hurst 

 

Dwain was hired in March 2011 and has 23 years of prior service and experience from the City of Abilene.  Please welcome Dwain to our community.   

 

 

 

Municipal Judge - Robert H. Stanley Sr.

 

Licensed Judge in the State of Texas (12 yrs exp),25 yrs of Military experience, 20 yrs with Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, 4 yrs with Merkel Police Department

 

The Municipal Judge  is committed to provide those we serve with impartial and efficient delivery of justice for Class "C" misdemeanors and parking violations while accomplishing the duties incumbent upon it by the laws of the State of Texas

Utility Clerk - Teresa Teaff

 

Teresa was hired October 2008 as utility clerk .

Teresa maintains the service records and billing for all utilities of the City and assists other personel as needed.  Teresa is the go to gal for our new "Tye Tidbits" newsletter.  If have something of interest to be included please let her know.  Teresa always has a friendly smile and is a pleasure to meet at the front door.

Zach was hired September 2009 and has already shown an amazing willingness to become a longtime employee with the city. We welcome Zach and his family.

RETIRED 12/31/2011 Director of Operations - Paul Moore

 

Paul had worked with the City for 25 years. The city held a reception in his honor with many friends and family in attendance.  We appreciate all the years Paul had devoted to the city and its functions and services to the community.
